Why Us? Program Features and Highlights

 The KAMC Foundation School of Building Mechanical Sciences program was designed with the intent of giving students the most up-to-date knowledge and skills in the plumbing and HVAC industry, as well as a jump start on a promising career in the industry.Our goal is to provide students with instruction based upon best practices and recent codes. Some program highlights are:

Tuition

Tuition costs for the school year are $3000. This also includes payment for the journeyman licensing examination taken at the end of the year. Students have the option to enter into payment plans with the school on a monthly or a semi-annual basis or pay tuition in full up front.

**New Virtual Training**

COURSE CERTIFICATION

The school year equates to 288 hours, and those hours, upon completion, will count as 1 year of the 2 years of work experience needed to sit for the licensing test. This is a requirement set forth by the Department of Housing. At the end of the program, students will sit for their actual journeyman licensing examination. Students will also receive other career certifications through their program including Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification, and CSST Gas Pipe certification.

INSTRUCTORS

Program instructors are currently working in the field and are experts in the trades. They come with the skills and knowledge to prepare students for careers after the program ends. Learn more about our instructors here.

 CAREER SUPPORT AND JOB PLACEMENT

While the School of Building Mechanical Sciences cannot guarantee job placement during or after the program, our staff will work diligently with the students to provide the necessary career support to help them find a job. Our school works with a vast number of companies throughout the State of Kentucky, and our program allows students the opportunity to work on perfecting their trade during the day while going to school at night. Our staff will also work with students to get them career ready, providing them with resume support and interview assistance to help them land a job in their chosen field. In addition, students will go through training on customer service and support in the field during class time to help them in their jobs.

SCHOOL LOCATION

Our school is also centrally located in the capitol of Kentucky, Frankfort, at the Franklin County Career and Technical Center. Because of our unique partnership with the school, our students will have access to state-of-the art classrooms and technology to enhance their learning experience.

Last week, my personal toilet at mikeroweWORKS Headquarters coughed up a disgusting clog of bad advice, noxious bromides, and odorous stereotypes, leaving my entire office awash in the horrific stench of myth and nonsense.
